At thirteen years of age sitting in the office of a high school counselor John believed his fate was
sealed, when the expert counselor (while reviewing his transcripts from his former school) looked
across the desk and declared, “John, you’re not smart enough for college... What do you want to
do after High School?” Assuming that she knew what she was talking about, John devoted his
focus to working hard.
At age 18, John was hired into his first management roll. With very little quality leadership in the
workforce to learn from... John sought advice from the best, attending every seminar possible and
listening to audio tapes whenever not face-to-face with a potential client. Combining his
commitment to learning with a passion for creating opportunities for others, John rose to the top
in his field over the next twenty years.
In 2006, (John was) the co-founder of a multi-million dollar, nationwide mortgage organization
devoted to educating homeowners about how to get out of debt and live debt free. Unfortunately,
the national crash of the industry swept many small businesses away in the market shift.
As frustrating as it was to close a business, John’s lack of a formal education now left him
unemployable.
